Manifattura Geminiano Cozzi Venezia 1765 is the perfect brand to represent the excellence of Venetian production at the Luxus exhibition held at Venice Pavilion, on the occasion of the 57th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia, from May 13th to November 26th 2017.
"We certainly could not miss the wonderful opportunity - says Antonio Tognana, creator of the relaunch of the avant-garde eighteenth-century brand Geminiano Cozzi Venezia 1765 - to participate the Biennale, granted us by the curator of the Venice Pavilion"". We thank the curator Zecchi for the sensitivity and intent to show to the world the excellence, uniqueness and history of the wonderful porcelain made in Venice by the Manifattura of Geminiano Cozzi, continuing the success obtained from the anthological exhibition held in Ca ' Rezzonico the previous year.
Our intent, in line with the historical-cultural leitmotiv of the prestigious Biennale Arte Viva, is to revive the timeless artistic masterpieces handmade in the eighteenth century in the current collections aimed at a sophisticated public and high-end hotels.
"Luxury, the theme of the exposition of the Venice Pavilion, is narrated through the great tradition of Venetian artisan craftsmanship - explains Stefano Zecchi, curator of the initiative - of which this exhibition space was, from 1932 and for many years, the most prestigious showcase. It is a path in which forms, symbols and objects of the past are intertwined by the research of Venetian companies, the excellence in the artisan production of glass art objects, mosaics, fabrics, porcelains and footwear.
Raw materials are collected and transformed by the genius hands of Venetian artisans into works of art. The visitor is accompanied along a path to understand how an object is created from raw material.
The Venice Pavilion makes luxury live as an experience of a high and precious beauty that only a true aesthetic education allows to appreciate and that the Pavilion's exhibition path can communicate.
